Here’s a brief overview of the real estate market that was for Torrance last month. August 2021 was another blazing hot month for home sales in the South Bay’s biggest city. There were 123 homes in Torrance that closed escrow during the month. The median sales price of $900,000 and most homes sold WAY above the asking price. Homes averaged a very brief 13 days on market before going into escrow and the average price per foot was $641.

There were 78 property sales in Torrance during the month which was the lowest number of home sales since last May when only 50 homes closed escrow. The median “asking” price of the homes that sold in January 2021 was $804,500 with the median “sold” price at $817,500 indicating a very solid “seller’s” market and meaning that most homes sold well over the asking price.
