Torrance Real Estate Recap – May 2021 Overview

What a month it was for real estate in Torrance CA with 117 homes, townhomes and condos closing escrow compared to only 48 in May of 2020.  Another 116 went into escrow during the month and these are huge numbers.  The only problem is that inventory isn’t keeping up and new active listings was way down with only 68 active listings.  The median sold price was an impressive $899,000 and sold homes averaged only 17 days on market before going into escrow.  See how it compares with other months on our Torrance real estate trends and statistice page.  Click here to view the homes that sold during the month.

It was a HUGE month for the real estate market in Torrance CA during April 2021. There were 137 on market home  sales (closing escrow) during the month with another 138 going into escrow.  That’s pretty unbelievable.  The bad news is that new listings are most definitely not keeping up and there were only 57 active listings later in the month which spells trouble for home buyers in the area.  Homes averaged only 13 days on market before selling and the median sales price was an impressive $923,000.  See how this compares with other months by visiting our Torrance real estate trends and statistics page.

January Home Sales in Central Torrance and Plaza Del Amo

January 2021 started off the year  a bit slow in the neighborhoods of  central Torrance  and the gated communities of  Plaza Del AmoChatelaine in Plaza Del Amo in terms of  the  number of home sales but home prices remained very strong.   There were 10 home, townhome and condo sales in central Torrance during the first month of  2021 which was  lower than the sales in the second  half of 2020 and it matche the lowest number of  home sales in the community since July of last year.  The median list price was 834,900 with the median sold price at $827,000 indicating a very solid “seller’s” market and meaning that most homes sold well over the asking price. The median price per foot of the homes that sold was $449. See how January home prices compare with previous months on our  real estate trends and statistics page.
