Top Sale of the Month – 505 Paseo De La Playa

Although it took a while the oceanfront home in the Hollywood Riviera at 505 Paseo De La Playa closed escrow during May and ended upHollywood Riviera selling for $5,175,000.

With a home like this you’re definitely paying for location as it’s a fairly original home but the location just can’t be beat.  The last sale of something fairly similar was 529 Paseo De La Playa which was a 4 bed, 3 bath single family home with a bit under 3200 feet that sold at $5,650,000.

505 Paseo De La Playa offers the same specs with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and the same 3,179 square feet.  The lot on 505 is a bit larger and extends all the way to the beach, but the home at 529 had done significant work to the bluff at a pretty significan expense.

April By the Numbers – Torrance Real Estate Recap

It was a HUGE month for the real estate market in Torrance CA during April 2021. There were 137 on market home  sales (closing escrow) during the month with another 138 going into escrow.  That’s pretty unbelievable.  The bad news is that new listings are most definitely not keeping up and there were only 57 active listings later in the month which spells trouble for home buyers in the area.  Homes averaged only 13 days on market before selling and the median sales price was an impressive $923,000.  See how this compares with other months by visiting our Torrance real estate trends and statistics page.
