Although it took a while the oceanfront home in the Hollywood Riviera at 505 Paseo De La Playa closed escrow during May and ended upHollywood Riviera selling for $5,175,000.

With a home like this you’re definitely paying for location as it’s a fairly original home but the location just can’t be beat.  The last sale of something fairly similar was 529 Paseo De La Playa which was a 4 bed, 3 bath single family home with a bit under 3200 feet that sold at $5,650,000.

505 Paseo De La Playa offers the same specs with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and the same 3,179 square feet.  The lot on 505 is a bit larger and extends all the way to the beach, but the home at 529 had done significant work to the bluff at a pretty significan expense.

Torrance is one of the more diverse cities in the South Bay when it comes to housing options. Some of the least expensive homes can be found in Torrance as well as some of the most expensive. It’s not often that we see homes come on the market in the lower Hollywood Riviera neighborhood that’s west of Palos Verdes Blvd.  Occassionally we see a home or two and more often than not, there is nothing on the market in this area.

That certainly couldn’t be further from the case at the moment as there are 4 homes for sale on Camino De Encanto in the Hollywood Riviera.

There are current 4 homes on the market and all are within a 1/2 block.  This is pretty unheard of an probably not ideal for any of the homes as when buyers have options….they want to negotiate.
