Torrance has an abundance of great parks but none really compare with the features and amenities of Wilson Park. It’s a sprawling patch of
beautiful green open space in the heart of Torrance and across the street from the complexes of Plaza Del Amo. Located at 2200 Crenshaw Blvd 90501 the aminities and facilities are as diverse as they come. About the only thing it’s missing is an aquatics center.

They certainly have the usual features…..playgrounds, fields, etcl, but it really is much more of a “recreation center” than a park. Some of the many things to do at Wilson Park include:
Also available to reserve:
The park is just amazing with ample parking, playground areas, incredible and unique sports facilities, fields and more. What makes this so unique is some of the athletic areas unseen just about anywhere else. These include the usual softball, baseball, soccer fields and tennis and basketball courts but also include a roller hockey rink, futsal turf field, batting cages, a childrens summer water area and a small guage railroad offering actual rides!

you see some historic aircraft but you can tour them and even fly in them! Some of the historic planes are the B-17 Flying Fortress, the B-25 Mitchell , B-24 Liberator, the P-51 Mustang and P-40 Warhawk. As a WWII aviation enthusiast myself I can’t wait to see these incredible planes. Both the B-17 and B-24 offer walk throughs.Take to the skies!
For an even more unbelievable experience you can fly in the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, and B-25 Mitchell. Flight training (no experience necessary) on the P-51 Mustang and P-40 Warhawk is also available to actually take the controls and fly the famous fighters of WWII with an experienced instructor for either 30 minutes or 60 minutes!

**Please note that this is a post from 2017. 433 Paseo De La Playa has undergone a MAJOR transformation since then and the new home is now for sale (as of 3/7/25) for $22,500,000. Click here to see the updated listing information.
433 Paseo De La Playa is definitely one of a kind. Perched on the bluff with stunning ocean and coastline views, the
home is like something usually seen in Beverly Hills or Bel Aire….not Redondo Beach and Torrance. Learn more about the oceanfront homes on Paseo De La Playa in the Hollywood Riviera.
Boasting 7 bedrooms (all spacious), 6 1/2 baths, 7,792 square feet on a massive 25,000+ lot that extends to the beach this home has it all…..sports court, gated driveway, ocean view pool and spa (with a mini waterslide) and huge views from many of the rooms. The home even features a oversized path down to the sand which is rare as the California Coastal Commission highly regulates direct access to the beach and the permitting process (if approved) can take years and years.
The Hollywood Riviera is a fantastic neighborhood with a small town community charm, highly ranked schools and often times some great ocean views.
